This year’s meeting theme is “Sturgeon Re-Sturgence”along with additional fisheries research. An excellent slate of Keynote and Plenary Speakers has been assembled, including some of the most renowned sturgeon experts in the country such as Ron Bruch from WI and Nancy Auer from MI, along with other Great Lakes sturgeon experts. A full slate of NY sturgeon speakers in the afternoon will include presentations on the Niagara River, Lakes Erie and Ontario, the St. Lawrence River, Genesee River, Oneida Lake, and others.

A concurrent session “Round Goby Ecology and Impacts in NY and the Great Lakes Basin” will also be held, along with general submissions on any fisheries topic on Friday. If you have interesting research on these or other fisheries topics, please consider submitting a presentation or poster! Please encourage other staff or students to submit talks or posters on their research as well.

Oral presentations are 20 minutes (15 + 5 for questions). AV equipment will be provided, and talks should be in PowerPoint format. Please indicate if your presentation is either by a student or professional.  Maximum poster size is 3 ft X 4 ft, landscape orientation. Presenters will receive email confirmation of their abstract submission upon receipt.  Presenters will be notified of acceptance and the designated time and place of their presentation by January 20, 2017.
