New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is hiring!

Among the many vacancies are a Biologist 1 (aquatic) to work for me within the Rare Fish Unit in our Albany headquarters. The position is expected to be heavily involved in status assessments of rare native fish species and supporting regional fisheries staff in effective sampling and identification of rare fish species of interest.

The position may be filled at a Trainee 1, Trainee 2 or full Journey level depending on education and experience. A bachelor’s degree and fisheries science coursework are minimum requirements (see posting).
