Women in Fisheries Peer Mentorship Sign-Up

The Women in Fisheries Subcommittee is facilitating a peer mentorship program for the second time, this year! Our mission is to inspire and empower women and people from underrepresented genders to succeed in professional fisheries careers. We strive to foster an encouraging environment for our members to advance their professional development goals. We recognize that mentorship and peer networking are vital factors to career success. Therefore, a core component of our work is to enhance these opportunities within our chapter of the American Fisheries Society.

You can sign up to participate here: https://forms.gle/BoE7Qnw8bdzvv1HE8

The program will run from spring to fall, 2023. We ask that participants dedicate at least six hours to meet with their match during that period. The subcommittee will facilitate the matching process, and then meeting schedules and frequency will be agreed upon by the individual matches.

Any Chapter members are welcome to participate. There are no gender requirements for participation, though the majority of participants are expected to be cis female. Please note that while we will do our best to find a suitable mentor/mentee for you, filling out this survey does not guarantee you will be matched.

Any questions can be directed to Jo Johnson, [email protected], Megan Kocher, [email protected], or Stacy Furgal [email protected]

**Participants in this program are expected to adhere to American Fisheries Society Standards of Professional Conduct and Meeting Codes of Conduct at all times.**
