The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department seeks a full-time temporary employee to assist with aquatic habitat protection and restoration.
This person will assist with assessments of culverts, dams, aquatic habitat and riparian areas; stewardship of state owned streambank parcels; temperature monitoring; and implementing some restoration activities (e.g., tree planting or invasive plant control). This person may also be asked to help with fish surveys and other activities as needed.
This position will be based in Roxbury, VT and will work statewide.
This person must be able to lift 50 lbs, be comfortable working in cold and wet conditions, and work independently once they are trained. Some work on nights and weekends may be required.
