Title, Authors & Email Addresses, Oral Presentation or Poster, Student or Professional, and Abstract (<200 words)

Oral presentations are 20 minutes (15 + 5 for questions). AV equipment available, PowerPoint formats preferred (Office 2013 or earlier), contact Dan Josephson with other needs ([email protected]). Please indicate if your presentation is either by a student or professional. Presenters will receive email confirmation of their abstract submission upon receipt. Presenters will be notified of acceptance and the designated time and place of their presentation by January 29, 2016.

Some helpful guidelines to keep in mind for your poster and oral presentations:

• Articulate study goals/objectives

• Develop rationale for study goals/objectives

• Method description of data collection, data analysis, or study plan adequate but not excessive

• Use of non-text, effective in communicating (figures easy to read and relate to objectives, relevant pictures included)

• Discuss results in context of study goals/objectives (beginning students may not have answers yet)

• Summarize findings & discusses research in a broader scientific context

• Student available & approachable during poster session for questions


This year’s meeting theme is “Building Resiliency into Fish Management Plans – Sustaining Fisheries in a Changing World”. An excellent slate of plenary speakers has been assembled to discuss the conceptual framework of resiliency and case studies of fish management plans for a variety of fish species.
